This porject was aimed at creating a 3 dance step movement and a hairstyle that would go with the dance. The three dance step had to be created into a flip book. Also a A3 poster for the hairstyle. So I started to look at the different genres of music and some examples of dance movement routines.

Steve Hillage and Miquette Girandy set out a categorization of electronic dance music genres based on bests per minute (Bpm)
  • 60 - 90 Bpm - Hip hop and dub
  • 90 - 120 Bpm - faster Hip hop and big beats / trip hop
  • 120 - 135 Bpm - House

For the flip book I decided to record the movement and then later turn it into images.
